Interior Design Services
• Search for and bid on new projects
• Determine the client’s goals and requirements of the project
• Consider how the space will be used and how people will move through the space
• Sketch preliminary design plans, including electrical layouts
• Specify materials and furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing fixtures
• Prepare final plans, using computer applications (AutoCAD, 3D Max, Power Point…)
• Create a timeline for the interior design project and estimate project costs
• Place orders for materials and oversee installing the design elements
• Hire the laborers needed for the project
• Produce ‘sample’ or ‘mood’ boards for presentation to clients
• Purchase the furnishings, art work, design accessories, etc., for designing the interiors
• Finish schedules and general color scheme
• Supervise work at the design stage, manufacturing, and installation
• Plan visits after the project is completed to ensure that the client is satisfied
TV Set Design Services
• Study scripts and discuss ideas with the director or producer
• Discuss requirements in detail with clients (the brief) and set project schedules
• Sketch design ideas to produce a ‘storyboard’, showing what the sets will look like
• Create effective designs within the available budget
• Consider materials and costs according to set budgets and negotiate project fees
• Prepare detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, often using computer-aided design (AutoCAD & 3D Max) software
• Ensure the planned design is met with the consideration of the client’s budget and deadlines
• Source products, e.g. fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration and dressing, and provide samples for clients
• Estimate costs and prepare a production schedule
• Work out potential problems, such as lighting or complex scene changes
• Follow up with graphic designer
